The Son seeks vengeance against Sentinel for preventing his ascension 8 years before.  He turns the vampire coven against her, using Peter as bait and huntsman.

Scripted Adventure Posted - Stalker, Vol. 2 #1, Beginnings, November 2007.  Author: Bradley Potts.  Characters Featured: The Rook and Stalker (ii).

 

The new Stalker finds herself in the world of 2007.  Much of her past remains a mystery, so she begins the search for her father.

 

New Title – Stalker, Vol. 2.  Stalker (ii), introduced originally in Stalker #48 and again now in Vigilance Committee, Vol. 2 #50, has her own title.

 

Adventure Completed – King Crimson #247, The Children’s Church, May 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players: Peter Tureson.  Characters Featured: Guardian, King Crimson, L’Etoile Rouge, and Patriot.

 

Guardian’s mind has been enslaved as has the town.  Now Patriot and L’Etoile Rouge must fight not only the children, but their new defender, Guardian.

 

Cancelled Titles  - Mongoose and Raiders.  It was a difficult decision to cancel these two titles which both date from the 80’s, but the fact is that no GM has run an adventure in either of these books since 1990, longer than any other title.  They have been removed from the lineup to make room for two new titles in the coming months, Stalker, Vol. 2 and the New Liberty Knights.

 

11-1-07 We’re back – Sorry folks for the long hiatus.  Over the summer everyone was pretty busy (and a little burned out by that phenomenal first quarter of 2007).  Now we’re all moved, classes are back under control, work has settled down, and we’re gaming again.  For now, we’re 100% PBEM, and there are currently 5 adventures in progress under two GMs and 5 players.

Adventure Completed - King Crimson #246, Beware the Little Children, April 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players: Peter Tureson.  Characters Featured: Guardian, King Crimson, L’Etoile Rouge, and Patriot.

 

Rouge and Guardian find themselves in Hicksville USA, summoned by the mysterious King Crimson.  He warns them that something strange is going on and they have to stop it, but what could be going on in this little town where the people are so strange, and who’s that big guy poking around town.

 

Adventure Completed - The Gateway League #3, Temper Tantrum, Part 1: The Growing Tempest, April 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players: Julie Potts and Brian Schuetz.  Characters Featured: The Crew, Pink Panther, Projector, Tempest, and Vector.

 

Tempest is back and tearing up the city.  The heroes beat him, but somehow he always gets away.  How is Projector connected to this crazed maniac, and can they figure out how to stop him?

Projector is Tempest, Tempest is Projector, and they hate each other.  Can the rest of the League put a stop to this bizarre sibling rivalry?

 

Adventure Completed - Sentinel #1, Terror From the Deeps, April 2007.  GM:  D. Todd McCall.  Players:  Bradley Potts.  Characters Featured: Sentinel.

 

A routine demonstration of a deep sea diving suit turns to terror as something from deep below the sea attacks the research ship and Sentinel has to roll out the big guns to try and stop it.

 

Adventure Completed - Vigilance Committee, Vol. 2 #37, Out of Nowhere, September 2006.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players: Peter Tureson.  Characters Featured: Nightmist, The Nowhere Man, The Rook, Sorceress, V, and Vigilante (iii).

 

The Nowhere Man has finally gone off the deep end and become a danger to the city and its inhabitants.  The police can’t stop him and come to the Vigilance Committee for help, but cane they stop a man they can’t see?

 

April 2007

4-4-07 Adventure completedExplorers #300, Ring of Fire, Part 2: Trial By Fire, April 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players: Peter Tureson.  Characters Featured:  Agent Alpha, Berserk Claw, Chronicle, Guardian, and Redwolf.

 

Berserk Claw has sacrificed his spirit to awaken a hundred foot tall fire demon which is burning Canada.  Agent Alpha and Chronicle must try to slow it down while Redwolf and Guardian journey to the Spirit Realm to try and end the summoning.

An archaeological dig turns up a buried American Airlines 757 which has apparently been there for tens of thousands of years.  The heroes investigation leads them to be on that plane when it takes off two days later to be hijacked by Dr. Talon.

After the events of last month’s issue, Sentinel and Bluestar go in search of Palimpsest and run into BIG problems.  Carrie Stane gives up being Stalker and cuts ties with the New York Vampires.

Redwolf awaits a sign to help him prevent the darkness he has foreseen, but in the meantime old enemies set a trap for him.  By the time the sign comes, it may already be too late.

 

3-14-07 Adventure completed Vigilance Committee, Vol. 2 #36, Deep Freeze, August 2006.  GM:  Bradley Potts.  Players:  Peter Tureson.  Characters Featured:  Ice Age, Nightmist, Sorceress, V, and Vigilante (iii).

 

The arrival of Ice Age turns a beautiful August day into a wintry blizzard.  The heroes must fight Ice Age as well as the elements to save the city.

 

3-12-07 Adventure completedStalker #194, Remember When…, February 2007.  GM: Julie Potts.  Players:  Bradley Potts and Brian Schuetz.  Characters Featured:  Bluestar, The Grappler, Hunter (i), Hunter (iii), Palimpsest, Soldier, and Stalker.

 

Palimpsest plays a game, taking the heroes back to 1964, stripped of equipment and powers, to test their reactions.  Her plans are cut unexpectedly short, leaving the heroes puzzled, and Stalker cured of her vampirism.

The Vigilance Committee faces its greatest threat when the Mechmen are reactivated.  The VC has to think fast to overcome an opponent with superior defenses, weaponry, and numbers.

 

February 2007

2-28-07 Adventure completed  - Explorers #298, Ring of Fire: Gathering of the Pack, February 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players: Peter Tureson.  Characters Featured: Agent Alpha, Chronicle, Dark Maul, Guardian, Palimpsest and Redwolf.

 

Redwolf attempts to rebuild the Explorers after a precognitive vision of destruction.  He gathers Agent Alpha and Guardian before the three of them take on Palimpsest and Dark Maul to try and rescue Chronicle.

 

2-26-07 Adventure completedVigilance Committee, Vol. 2 #42, Grappling With the Past, February 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players:  Julie Potts and Brian Schuetz.  Characters Featured: Diamond, The Eel, The Grappler, Mind Reaper, Pink Panther, Sidekick, Slash, Soldier, Sorceress, Thorn, V and Vigilante (iii).  Cameos by Hunter (iii) and The Rook.

 

Grappler comes to Chicago, pursued by Sidekick and the Syndicate.  After Grappler is captured at the airport, Sidekick teams up with the Vigilance Committee, plus Pink Panther and Soldier, to track down the Syndicate operation.  V’s computer skills allow them to find the Syndicate hide out where Grappler is already in a fight with the Syndicate goons.  The VC’s arrival turns the tide on the hopeless fight, with thorn and Slash just barely escaping and the other villains being captured.

 

2-26-07 New villains, The Eel, Mind Reaper, and Slash, introduced.  Syndicate goons brought in to try and capture The Grappler, The Eel is a light martial brick with an electrical damage shield, Mind Reaper is a mentalist, and Slash is a super fast cutter.

 

2-26-07 New PC, The Grappler, introduced.  Brian Schuetz has created a new martial brick, The Grappler.  This mutant, with the extra limbs of an octopus, is a former Syndicate goon who has turned on his masters.  Now the Syndicate wants his hide, and the heroes aren’t too fond of him either.

 

2-19-07 Adventure completedFantastic #865, Enter the Rakshasa, February 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players:  Julie Potts and Brian Schuetz. Characters Featured: Pink Panther, Soldier and Vector.

 

The local Hindu temple is hiding an artifact from the Rakshasa which would give their Rajah great power.  Unfortunately, they’ve been betrayed, and the Rakshasa are killing the priests and taking the pieces.  The heroes get involved and track the Rakshasa to their lair, driving them out and recovering the artifact.

 

2-12-07 Adventure completedThe Gateway League #1, Ultimate Threat, February 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players:  Julie Potts and Brian Schuetz. Characters Featured: Astra (ii), The Crew, Pink Panther, Polaris, Projector, Scarlet, Soldier and Vector.  Cameo by V.

 

The fight which started in Boston in Watchtower #200 crashes into the Mississippi River and carries on at the St. Louis riverfront.  Scarlet is beaten senseless, but the local heroes respond and are able to come together and drive Polaris away.  After the battle, the city decides to create a new local team, The gateway League.

 

2-12-07 New heroes, Astra (ii), The Crew, and Projector, introduced.  These local St. Louis heroes respond to the emergency that is Polaris.  Astra is a young girl, able to dematerialize at will, Projector is a geek with telekinetic abilities, and finally, the Crew is a local construction worker who becomes a megabrick when he puts on 3200 pounds.

 

2-5-07 Adventure completed21st Century Soldier #7, Long Shall Reign the Greater Ape, February 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players:  Julie Potts and Brian Schuetz.  Characters Featured: The Greater Ape, Pink Panther, Soldier, Tempest and Vector.

 

The murders have continued, growing more graphic and brutal.  The heroes efforts to help are rebuffed by the local authorities, but they continue their efforts.  They discover that the villain, now known to call himself the Greater Ape, is experimenting with mind control.  After fighting a group of his mind controlled victims, the crimes suddenly stop.  The heroes come to suspect a primatologist who recently went missing and a gorilla in the zoo named Tee Tee.

 

2-5-07 New villain, The Asp, introduced.  The Asp is an Osiren born in the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt.  Basically a martial artist, he can control the flow of time allowing him to seem to move, for brief instances, at super speed.

 

2-5-07 New PC, Noir, introduced.  Dave Reiss has created a super spook with power over shadow.

 

2-5-07 PBEM opened.  Two email adventure were begun today, broadening the game back out to players who are unable to join tabletop games due to lack of local players.

 

2-5-07 New villain, Tempest, introduced.  Vector ran into Tempest tearing through a local supermarket.  He distracted the villain long enough for the people to get out, nut was over powered and had to retreat.  The villain vanished.

 

January 2007

1-29-07 New Villain, Polaris, introduced.  A powerful alien invader, Polaris is more than a match for any single hero.  A tech based flying blaster with solid defenses and dangerous attacks.

 

1-29-07 Scripted Adventure PostedWatchtower #200, Polaris, January 2007.  Written by Bradley Potts.  Characters Featured:  Gargoyle, Polaris, Scarlet and Samantha Stone. 

 

Prelude to The Gateway League #1.  A powerful villain arrives in Boston, claiming sovereignty over the Earth.  He defeats Watchtower, but not before Scarlet takes the fight into orbit.  The two crash down in St. Louis.

 

1-15-07 Adventure completed21st Century Soldier #8, Monkey Business, January 2007.  GM: Bradley Potts.  Players:  Julie Potts and Brian Schuetz. Characters Featured: The Greater Ape, Pink Panther, Soldier and Vector.

 

The city of St. Louis is being terrorized by a series of bizarre murders.  Local heroes Soldier, Pink Panther, and Vector take up the investigation.  They come to the startling realization that the culprit is a gorilla, a gorilla capable of beating the tar out of Soldier.

 

1-15-07 – First appearance of Vigilante (ii) since becoming Soldier.

 

1-15-07 New villain, The Greater Ape, introduced – Few details have been revealed yet about this villain.  He is terrorizing the city of St. Louis, leaving a trail of beaten bodies in his wake.

 

1-15-07 New PC, Vector, introduced – Brian Schuetz has joined the campaign and his first character is a fast martial artist named Vector.  Victim of an industrial accident, during his recovery, he discovered that in addition to disfiguring injuries, the strange explosion had granted him super speed.

 

1-15-07 St. Louis Kickoff – The new St. Louis Polaris group had its first session tonight.  Plans are for a regular Monday evening game in Belleville.
